  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  • Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  • In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add 2 cups of sliced mushrooms and 1 teaspoon of minced garlic. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender. Set aside.
  • Spread 1/4 cup of mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each hamburger bun.
  • Place a cooked patty on each bottom bun, then top each patty with 2 slices of Swiss cheese and a generous portion of sautéed mushrooms.
  • Add a slice of tomato and a handful of shredded lettuce on top of the mushrooms.
