Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of softened butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Gradually add 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt, mixing until a dough forms.
- Scoop small portions of the dough and roll them into 1-inch balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Using your thumb or the back of a small spoon, make an indentation in the center of each ball.
- Fill the indentations with assorted toppings such as chocolate ganache, fruit preserves, or nuts.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the mignardises to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
