Instructions

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  • Grill the pineapple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side, until grill marks appear. Remove from grill and set aside.
  • Brush the hamburger buns with vegetable oil and grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly toasted. Remove from grill and set aside.
  • Grill the beef patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then adding a lettuce leaf, a beef patty with melted cheese, a grilled pineapple slice, and a slice of tomato. Drizzle teriyaki sauce over the pineapple slice. Top with the other half of the bun.
  • Serve the Maui Burgers immediately and enjoy!
