  • Stir in 2 cups of heavy cream, 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the cooked and shredded chicken to the sauce and mix well.
  • In the prepared baking dish, combine the cooked penne pasta and the chicken alfredo sauce. Mix until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
