Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 3/4 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger.
- In a separate large bowl, mix together 1 cup of pumpkin puree, 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, 2 eggs, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1/4 cup of maple syrup, and 1/3 cup of water until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the bread is baking, prepare the maple glaze by whisking together 1 cup of powdered sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup until smooth. Add more maple syrup if needed to reach desired consistency.
- Once the bread is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Drizzle the maple glaze over the cooled pumpkin bread, slice, and enjoy!
