Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of cooked lentils, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley.
  • Using your hands, mix the ingredients until well combined. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the lentil patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
  • Toast the burger buns in the skillet or in a toaster until lightly golden.
