Ingredients
- 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 6 cups of cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of white sugar with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. This will create a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- In a large pitcher, combine 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice with 5 cups of cold water.
- Stir in the simple syrup to the pitcher and mix well.
- Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or water if needed.
- Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour to chill.
- Serve the lemonade over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices. Enjoy!
