Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup of chicken broth
- 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup of white wine
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked pasta or crusty bread for serving
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, season the flour with salt and pepper. Dredge the shrimp in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Pour in the chicken broth, lemon juice, and white wine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce the liquid slightly.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them in the lemon butter sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are heated through.
- Stir in the chopped parsley and season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the lemon butter shrimp scampi over cooked pasta or with crusty bread for soaking up the delicious sauce. Enjoy!
