Lembas bread, also known as Elvish Waybread, is a legendary Elven food from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. This highly nutritious and filling bread is said to sustain a person for an entire day with just one bite. In the lore, it was made by the Elves and given to the Fellowship of the Ring during their quest. While not a real-world recipe, it has inspired many bakers and chefs to create their own interpretations of this mythical bread. The best version of this dish exists in the imagination of Tolkien fans, but some bakers have attempted to recreate it using hearty ingredients like whole grains, honey, and nuts.
