Jewish

Kugel is a traditional Jewish dish with roots in Eastern Europe. It is a baked pudding or casserole, often made with egg noodles or potatoes, and flavored with sweet or savory ingredients. The dish has evolved over time, with variations including lokshen kugel (noodle kugel) and potato kugel. Renowned chefs like Yotam Ottolenghi have put their own spin on the classic recipe, incorporating modern flavors and techniques. In New York City, iconic Jewish delis like Katz's Delicatessen and Russ & Daughters serve up delicious kugel. The key to a perfect kugel lies in achieving the ideal balance of creamy texture and rich, comforting flavors.
