- 1 cup fine bulgur wheat
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup pine nuts, toasted
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Place the bulgur wheat in a bowl and cover with cold water. Let it soak for 10 minutes, then drain and squeeze out any excess water.

- Spread half of the meat mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down evenly to form a base layer.
- Sprinkle the toasted pine nuts, chopped parsley, and chopped mint over the meat layer.
- Spread the remaining meat mixture over the top, pressing it down to form a top layer.
- Using a sharp knife, score the top layer of the kibbeh into diamond or square shapes.
- Brush the top with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the meat is cooked through.
- Allow the baked kibbeh to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!

The key to a delectable baked Kibbeh lies in achieving the perfect balance of spices and the ideal texture of the bulgur and meat mixture. Today, the best-baked Kibbeh can be savored in authentic Middle Eastern eateries that stay true to traditional recipes. Whether it's a family recipe or a renowned chef's creation, baked Kibbeh continues to delight food enthusiasts worldwide.
