Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Jack Daniel's whiskey
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of Jack Daniel's whiskey, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of soy sauce, 1/4 cup of ketchup, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens. Set aside.
  • Place the 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the prepared sauce over the chicken, seal the bag, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours. Reserve the remaining sauce for basting and serving.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the used marinade.
  • Brush the grill grates with 2 tablespoons of olive oil to prevent sticking. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), basting with the reserved sauce during the last few minutes of grilling.
  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with the extra sauce on the side for dipping or drizzling over the chicken. Enjoy your extra saucy Jack Daniel's chicken!
