Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of honey, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, and the minced garlic. Set aside.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the chicken is cooking, in a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with 1/4 cup of water until well combined.
- Once the chicken is cooked, pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken in the skillet. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and coats the chicken.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish.
