Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and 1 cup of white sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. This will create a simple syrup. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • In a separate small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of dried culinary lavender buds. Let the lavender steep in the hot water for 5-7 minutes. Strain the lavender-infused water and discard the lavender buds.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, the simple syrup, and the lavender-infused water. Stir well to mix all the ingredients together.
  • Add the remaining 2 cups of water to the pitcher and stir again.
  • Refrigerate the lavender-infused homemade lemonade for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve the lemonade over ice and garnish with a sprig of fresh lavender, if desired. Enjoy!
