Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the sliced red and yellow bell peppers, and the sliced onion. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, and stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour in the hoisin sauce mixture and 1/4 cup of beef broth. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the beef and vegetables are coated.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve the hoisin beef stir fry over cooked rice or noodles. Enjoy!
