Ingredients
- 8 oz of pork shoulder, thinly sliced
- 8 oz of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz of squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
- 8 oz of pork bones
- 8 cups of pork broth
- 1 package of hủ tiếu noodles
- 2 tbsp of fish sauce
- 1 tbsp of oyster sauce
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper
- 1/2 cup of bean sprouts
- 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup of cilantro leaves
- Lime wedges
- Sliced chili peppers
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the pork bones and pork broth to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour to make the broth.
- In a separate pot, cook the hủ tiếu noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together the fish sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper to make the seasoning sauce.
- Add the pork slices to the simmering broth and cook for 5 minutes. Then add the shrimp and squid, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are cooked through.
- Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls. Top with the pork, shrimp, and squid. Ladle the hot broth over the noodles and meat.
- Drizzle the seasoning sauce over the soup and garnish with bean sprouts, green onions, and cilantro leaves.
- Serve hot with lime wedges and sliced chili peppers on the side.
