Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of softened butter, 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley, 2 cloves of minced garlic, the zest and juice of 1 lemon, and salt and pepper to taste. This is your lemon and herb butter.
  • Season the cleaned and gutted trout with salt and pepper, both inside and out.
  • Place the seasoned trout on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
  • During the last 2 minutes of grilling, top each trout with a generous dollop of the lemon and herb butter, allowing it to melt and coat the fish as it finishes cooking.
  • Carefully remove the trout from the grill and transfer to a serving platter.
