Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 can (15 ounces) of chili
- 1 bag (10.25 ounces) of Fritos corn chips
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large skillet, cook 1 pound of ground beef and 1 diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in 1 can of chili and heat through.
- Spread half of the bag of Fritos in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Spoon the beef and chili mixture over the Fritos.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef and chili mixture.
- Top with the remaining Fritos and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the Fritos.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot, topped with a dollop of sour cream and chopped fresh cilantro if desired.
