Garlic Butter Crust Fried Pizza

Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions and shape into balls. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out each dough ball into a 6-inch circle. Brush the garlic butter mixture over one side of each dough circle.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place one dough circle, garlic butter side down, into the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
  • Brush the top of the dough with more garlic butter, then flip the dough over in the skillet. Spread 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce over the cooked side of the dough, then sprinkle with 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bottom of the pizza is crispy.
  • Remove the fried pizza from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil. Repeat the process with the remaining dough circles and toppings.
  • Serve the garlic butter crust fried pizza hot and enjoy!
