Instructions

  • In a shallow dish, soak 1 cup of dill pickle slices in 1 cup of buttermilk for 10 minutes.
  • In another shallow dish, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
  • Dredge the buttermilk-soaked pickle slices in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  • Carefully place the coated pickle slices in the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried pickles to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
