Fish jerky has a long history, dating back to ancient civilizations that used drying techniques to preserve fish for long journeys or harsh winters. In recent years, fish jerky has gained popularity as a healthy and convenient snack option. Chefs and restaurants in coastal regions have embraced this trend, experimenting with different fish varieties and flavor profiles. The best fish jerky is often found in regions known for their fresh seafood, such as coastal areas in Asia and the Pacific Northwest. The key to making delicious fish jerky lies in the quality of the fish and the seasoning used. Some alternative methods for making fish jerky include smoking or marinating the fish before drying.
