Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tbsp of oyster sauce, 2 tbsp of hoisin sauce, 1 tbsp of chili garlic sauce, 1 tsp of sesame oil, and 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  • In a separate small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of water with 2 tsp of cornstarch to create a slurry. Set aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 5 cloves of minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the sliced chicken to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until no longer pink. Add the broccoli florets and continue to stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and broccoli in the skillet. Stir to coat the chicken and broccoli evenly with the sauce.
  • Give the cornstarch slurry a quick stir and then pour it into the skillet. Stir the mixture and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and broccoli.
