  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix the sliced flank steak with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce with water. Set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Return the beef to the skillet. Pour in the beef broth, hoisin sauce, and the soy sauce-water mixture. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
  • Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Toss to combine.
  • Serve the extra garlic beef and broccoli over cooked rice. Enjoy!
