Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the sliced flank steak with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce with water. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet. Pour in the beef broth, hoisin sauce, and the soy sauce-water mixture. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Toss to combine.
- Serve the extra garlic beef and broccoli over cooked rice. Enjoy!
