  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef, BBQ sauce, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and form them into patties.
  • Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last 2 minutes of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  • While the patties are grilling, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayonnaise, followed by a tomato slice and a red onion slice.
  • Place a grilled patty with melted cheese on top of the onion slice, then add 2 strips of bacon. Top with the other half of the bun.
