Ingredients
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 package of active dry yeast
- 1 cup of warm water
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup of chopped sun-dried tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of chopped black olives
- 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup of chopped pepperoni
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- In a separate small bowl, dissolve 1 package of active dry yeast in 1 cup of warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Add the yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a 12x18 inch rectangle.
- Sprinkle the dough with 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley, 1/4 cup of chopped sun-dried tomatoes, 1/4 cup of chopped black olives, 1/4 cup of chopped green onions, and 1/4 cup of chopped pepperoni.
- Starting from the long side, roll the dough into a tight log and pinch the seam to seal.
- Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the cocktail bread for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
