  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of buttermilk, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly touched. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
