Argentine

Choripán is a beloved Argentine street food that combines chorizo (spicy sausage) and pan (bread). This iconic dish has a rich history dating back to the early 19th century when European immigrants brought their sausage-making traditions to Argentina. The chorizo is typically grilled and nestled in a crusty bread roll, then topped with chimichurri sauce, a zesty blend of parsley, garlic, and vinegar. The best choripán can be found at street stalls, parrillas (steakhouses), and football stadiums throughout Argentina, especially in Buenos Aires and Cordoba. The key to a perfect choripán lies in the quality of the chorizo and the freshness of the bread. Some chefs also experiment with different types of sausages and sauces to put their own spin on this classic dish.
