Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions.
  • In a small saucepan, melt 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of butter over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 8 equal squares.
  • Place a spoonful of the chocolate mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  • Fold the corners of each square over the chocolate filling, forming a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
  • Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed.
