Instructions

  • Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
  • To assemble the shawarma plate, divide the cooked basmati rice among 4 plates. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions.
  • Add the sliced chicken on top of the rice and vegetables. Serve with tahini sauce or garlic sauce and pita bread or flatbread on the side.
