Cheesy BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

Ingredients
- 2 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Season the pork shoulder with paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chopped onion and minced garlic in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic.
- Pour the BBQ sauce and chicken broth over the pork shoulder.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
- Preheat the broiler in your oven.
- Split the hamburger buns and place them on a baking sheet.
- Pile the shredded pork onto the bottom half of each bun and top with a slice of cheddar cheese.
- Place the open-faced sandwiches under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve the cheesy BBQ pulled pork sandwiches hot and enjoy!
