Chapati, a traditional Indian flatbread, has been a staple in Indian cuisine for centuries. Its origins can be traced back to the Indian subcontinent, where it was a popular food among the working class. The unleavened bread is made from whole wheat flour, water, and salt, and is cooked on a hot griddle. It is a versatile accompaniment to various dishes and is enjoyed across different regions of India. Renowned chefs like Sanjeev Kapoor and Vikas Khanna have popularized this simple yet delicious bread. Today, the best chapati can be found in local Indian restaurants or made at home using traditional methods for an authentic taste.
