Ingredients
- 2 cups of water
- 2 black tea bags
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 whole cloves
- 4 cardamom pods
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the black tea bags, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, and ground ginger to the boiling water. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of milk and continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and discard the tea bags and whole spices.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Pour the chai tea into mugs through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any remaining spices.
- Serve hot and enjoy your vanilla chai tea!
