  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix together 1/4 cup orange juice, 1/4 cup lime juice, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Place the flank or skirt steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the steak. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Preheat grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  • Grill the steak for 5-7 minutes per side, or to desired doneness. Remove from grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  • While the steak is resting, warm the tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side.
  • To assemble the tacos, place a few slices of the grilled steak on each tortilla. Top with diced onion, chopped cilantro, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
  • Serve the carne asada tacos with your favorite salsa, guacamole, and additional lime wedges on the side. Enjoy!
