Ingredients
- 12 cups of popped popcorn
- 1 cup of unsalted butter
- 2 cups of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl and set aside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter.
- Stir in 2 cups of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of light corn syrup, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Cook and stir until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Boil without stirring for 4 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the popped popcorn and stir until all the popcorn is evenly coated.
- Butter your hands and shape the coated popcorn into 12 balls, pressing firmly to hold the shape.
- Place the popcorn balls on waxed paper to cool and set. Enjoy!
