Dessert
Italian

Cannoli chips are a delightful Italian-American treat, originating from the Sicilian dessert, cannoli. These crispy, sweet chips are made from cannoli pastry dough, fried to perfection, and dusted with powdered sugar. The dish gained popularity in the United States, particularly in Italian-American communities, and has become a beloved snack and dessert. Renowned chefs and bakeries in New York City, Boston, and Sicily have perfected the art of making cannoli chips. The key to achieving the best cannoli chips lies in the quality of the pastry dough and the precision of the frying process. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in authentic Italian bakeries and specialty dessert shops.
