Ingredients
- 2 cups of pecan halves
- 1/2 cup of white sugar

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of white sugar, 1/4 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture comes to a simmer.
- Add 2 cups of pecan halves to the saucepan and stir to coat the pecans evenly with the sugar mixture.
- Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until the pecans are golden and the sugar mixture is caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and allow the candied pecans to cool completely on the baking sheet, then break them apart and enjoy!
