American

Candied pecans have a rich history dating back to the 19th century in the southern United States. This sweet and crunchy treat was popularized in regions like Georgia and Louisiana, where pecan trees are abundant. Chefs and home cooks alike would coat pecans in a sugary glaze, often using ingredients like brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla, before roasting them to perfection. Today, this beloved snack can be found in gourmet food stores, at farmers' markets, and in the kitchens of top restaurants across the country. For the best candied pecans, it's crucial to achieve the perfect balance of sweetness and crunch, making them an irresistible indulgence.
