Butter Baked Cod is a classic dish that originated in the coastal regions of Europe, where fresh cod is abundant. The dish is known for its simplicity and rich, buttery flavor. Chefs in regions like Scandinavia, Portugal, and the British Isles have put their own unique spins on the recipe, using local ingredients and cooking techniques. The key to a perfect Butter Baked Cod lies in using high-quality, fresh cod and generous amounts of butter to create a moist and flavorful dish. Today, some of the best versions of this dish can be found in traditional seafood restaurants along the coastlines of these regions. For a twist, consider adding herbs, lemon, or garlic to enhance the flavors.
