The Bruffin, a delightful hybrid of a brioche and a muffin, originated in New York City in 2012. Created by Chef Michael Bagley, this innovative pastry quickly gained popularity for its unique combination of flaky, buttery brioche and the convenient, handheld nature of a muffin. The Bruffin has since become a staple in the city's food scene, with various bakeries and cafes offering their own delicious versions. To experience the best Bruffin, head to artisanal bakeries in NYC, where skilled pastry chefs craft these treats with precision. The key to a perfect Bruffin lies in achieving the ideal balance of rich, tender brioche and flavorful fillings, such as chocolate, fruit, or savory ingredients. Whether enjoyed as a breakfast indulgence or a midday snack, the Bruffin continues to captivate food enthusiasts with its irresistible charm.
