Mediterranean

Branzino, also known as European sea bass, has been a prized dish in Mediterranean cuisine for centuries. This delicate white fish has a rich history dating back to ancient Roman times, where it was a favorite of emperors and aristocrats. Today, it remains a staple in Italian, Greek, and Spanish cooking, celebrated for its mild, flaky flesh and subtle flavor. Renowned chefs like Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay have popularized branzino in their restaurants, often preparing it simply with olive oil, herbs, and lemon to let its natural taste shine. For the best branzino experience, visit coastal regions like the Amalfi Coast in Italy or the Greek islands, where the fish is caught fresh and grilled to perfection. The key to a great branzino dish lies in its freshness and simplicity, allowing the quality of the fish to speak for itself. Whether grilled whole or filleted and pan-seared, branzino is a must-try for seafood enthusiasts.
