Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of black sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 24 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a food processor, pulse 1 cup of black sesame seeds until finely ground. Add melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Pulse until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the remaining 1/2 cup of black sesame seeds. Pour the mixture over the crust.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is almost set. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen. Cool for 1 hour. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then stir until smooth. Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the chilled cheesecake.
  • Slice and serve the black sesame cheesecake with chocolate drizzle. Enjoy!
