  • 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water for steaming

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • Water for steaming

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup ground pork, 1 cup chopped kimchi, 1/2 cup chopped green onions, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 tablespoon gochugaru, 1 tablespoon sugar, and salt to taste.
  • Place a small amount of the filling in the center of a mandu wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper in half, pressing the edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the mandu in a single layer and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of water into the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam the mandu for 5-7 minutes or until the wrappers are translucent and the filling is cooked through.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1/4 cup gochujang, and 1 tablespoon sesame seeds to make the spicy dipping sauce.
  • Serve the Bibim Mandu with the spicy dipping sauce on the side and enjoy!
