Beer Cheese Burger
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or skillet for 1-2 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of beer over medium heat. In a separate bowl, toss 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese with 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour. Gradually add the cheese mixture to the beer, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in 1/4 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of paprika. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
- Place the cooked burger patties on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Spoon the beer cheese sauce over the patties, then cover with the top half of the buns. Serve immediately and enjoy!
