  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil and cumin seeds. Cook until the seeds start to sizzle.
  • Add the sliced onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Cook until the onions are soft and translucent.
  • Stir in the ground coriander, ground cumin, turmeric, and chili powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the sliced red and green bell peppers, and chopped tomatoes. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.
  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet and mix well with the vegetables and spices.
  • Season with salt and sprinkle garam masala over the mixture. Stir to combine.
  • Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked to your liking.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with steamed rice or naan bread.
