Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 8 flour tortillas
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup of sour cream
- 1/4 cup of salsa
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook 1 lb of ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Add 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper to the cooked beef. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Place 4 flour tortillas on a flat surface. Divide the cooked beef evenly among the tortillas, spreading it out to cover the entire surface.
- Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef on each tortilla. Top with 1/2 cup of diced tomatoes and 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro.
- Place the remaining 4 flour tortillas on top of the beef and cheese mixture to form quesadillas.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place one quesadilla in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Repeat with the remaining quesadillas.
- Cut the quesadillas into wedges and serve with 1/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of salsa for dipping. Enjoy!
