Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce to make the spicy sriracha mayo. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, combine 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • While the chicken is cooking, toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or on a grill until lightly golden.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, brush each breast with 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce, coating both sides. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  • To assemble the sandwiches, spread a generous amount of spicy sriracha mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Place a BBQ chicken breast on top, followed by a handful of shredded lettuce and a couple of tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
  • Serve the spicy BBQ chicken sandwiches immediately and enjoy!
