- 1/2 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoons paprika, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 tablespoon ground black pepper, 1 tablespoon salt, and 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
- Rub the dry rub all over the 5 pounds of beef brisket, covering it evenly.
- Wrap the brisket in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the smoker to 225°F (110°C) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Place the brisket in the smoker and cook for 6 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).
- In a small saucepan, mix 1 cup BBQ sauce and 1/2 cup beef broth. Heat over medium heat until warmed through.
