Banana Nut Pancakes with a drizzle of caramel sauce have a rich history dating back to the early 20th century. This delectable dish gained popularity in the southern United States, where chefs in New Orleans and Charleston added their own unique twists. The combination of ripe bananas, crunchy nuts, and sweet caramel perfectly complements the fluffy pancakes. Today, this indulgent breakfast treat can be found in renowned brunch spots across the country, with some chefs adding a hint of cinnamon or a splash of bourbon to elevate the flavors. For the best version, ensure the pancakes are light and airy, the bananas are perfectly ripe, and the caramel sauce is luxuriously smooth.
