Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup of marinara sauce
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a baking dish with olive oil.
- In a shallow dish, combine 1 cup of breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Dip each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides evenly, and place them in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven and spoon 1 cup of marinara sauce over each chicken breast.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the marinara sauce.
- Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
