Ingredients
- 4 gluten-free burger buns
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 4 lettuce leaves
Instructions
- Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
- While the patties are cooking, heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.
- In the same skillet, toast the gluten-free burger buns with a little olive oil until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to create a spread.
- To assemble the burgers, spread the mayonnaise mixture on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the spread, followed by a tomato slice, a cooked patty with melted cheese, 2 slices of bacon, avocado slices, and red onion slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
