Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water
- 1 apple, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Stir in 1 cup of rolled oats and reduce heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the diced apple, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the oatmeal. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the oatmeal is creamy.
- Divide the oatmeal into two bowls and drizzle each serving with 1/8 cup of milk.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
